Unimog, camper van, off-road vehicle, expedition vehicle

We intend to sell our Unimog.
It is a U 1300 without turbo, built in 1987, which we purchased 16 years ago from the Bundeswehr after it had been in long-term storage (preservation level 4). The vehicle has 45,000 km on the odometer and is completely rust-free and in its original condition. The vehicle is registered as a historic vehicle and a camper van. We have used it for several trips in Europe, and when not in use or during the winter, it is always kept in the garage.
I will list some of the main features here, as listing everything would be too extensive:
• Access to the cab
• Pop-up roof with standing height in the front area (this maintains the 3.2m height required by ADAC)
• 2 air-sprung, orthopedic Recaro seats with ventilation
• Motorcycle carrier that allows the rear doors to still be opened
• All attached parts are made of V2A stainless steel or galvanized and painted with 2-component paint
• Auxiliary ventilation with temperature control
• Soundproofing, mats in the cab
• Rearview camera / cables routed via a swivel point on the cab
• 2 outdoor tables, V2A stainless steel

• As part of preservation level 4, the vehicle received a completely new stainless steel braking system with air dryer
• Several Halfen rails are attached to the vehicle, which allow, for example, the mounting of photovoltaic systems or similar equipment
• Numerous accessories and spare parts are also available
• 4 wheels with rims and new tires
• 4 rims, stripped and painted with 2-component paint
• Tilting mechanism with all accessories
• Large torque wrench from Gedore
• Spare H4 headlights
• 4 new sets of chains for 335 / 365 tires each
• New, packaged front mounting bracket
• New, packaged generator for front mounting bracket

The vehicle has been maintained by a master mechanic who specializes in Unimogs, and all other work has been carried out with him and together with a master toolmaker. Painting work was commissioned at a paint shop (all 2-component paint). Insulation and interior paneling in the cabin were manufactured with a carpenter.
There is an appraisal report from TÜV (German technical inspection association) valuing the vehicle at over €65,000. The price can be negotiated, taking into account the many additional accessories. We would not like to sell individual parts separately. If you are interested, please contact us by email first. We would like a sale to be fair for both parties. There is no rush to sell, so the process can also take place over a longer period.
