Winterproof, self-sufficient Hymer T 654 SL Gold Edition

Unfortunately, for personal reasons, we have to part with our beloved motorhome “OTTO” and have switched to a caravan. For 6 years and over 80 trips, it has never let us down. It’s a Hymer with a quality that can hardly be found today.

We had the interior professionally modified to increase legroom in the bathroom, and allow TV viewing from both the cab and the bed.

The vehicle is fully winterized and ready for immediate use: the wall thickness of the body is 9 cm (see photo) and both gray water and freshwater tanks are insulated.

It is equipped with a 330 Watt solar panel on the roof, paired with a 110 Ah lithium battery (installed 6 years ago). Both work perfectly. The battery has only gone through 44 charge cycles and is rated for 500 to 1,500 cycles. The battery status and charge controller condition can be monitored conveniently via smartphone.

Thanks to the gas-powered fridge, a second toilet cassette, and the full off-grid setup, you can camp anywhere, completely self-sufficient. An inflatable Obelink awning is included and can be easily attached to the main awning.

The motorhome features a large fridge, freezer compartment, and oven. For cooking, there is a 3-burner gas stove with an extractor hood. The main bed measures 140 x 200 cm. The seating area converts effortlessly into an extra bed (120 x 200 cm), so up to 4 people can travel comfortably. Additionally, there’s a radio with Bluetooth, motorhome navigation, and a reversing camera. Annual spring inspection has always been performed!

Cosmetic notes due to its age:
- Small paint chips on the bonnet (quote from body shop: €500, no rust or corrosion present, just visual)
- Two blackout roller blinds are defective, but we replaced them with blackout curtains, which actually provide better darkness than the blinds. Fly screens are fully functional.
