The truth about electric wheel loaders:
Why robust lead-acid batteries outperform expensive lithium batteries in winter.

After three years of practical use with hundreds of electric MAXIMUM wheel loaders, we have reached a clear conclusion: we strongly advise against using expensive lithium batteries for year-round operation.

The problem with lithium in winter:
Performance degradation: Even at +5°C, the batteries discharge extremely quickly outdoors.
No charging in freezing temperatures: At 0°C and below, no more power is absorbed. The wheel loader is often out of service for months.
Outdoor storage impossible: The sensitive lithium technology cannot survive the winter outdoors without damage.

Our recommendation: Maintenance-free lead-acid batteries. We have had the best experiences with this technology by far. The advantages are obvious:

Reliable in cold weather: Constant performance and problem-free outdoor storage in winter.
Robust & durable: Higher reliability and easy maintenance in everyday work.
Significant price advantage: They cost significantly less to purchase and replace than lithium packs.
Avoid expensive lithium experiments if your machine is to operate reliably throughout the year.
